And for us is what Ahmad narrated with his isnad from Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with both of them, that a group baked bread from [the water of] the wells of those who [wronged themselves], and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Feed it to the nawadih (water-carrying camels)." Ahmad used this as evidence. He also said regarding the earnings of a cupper: "Feed it to your camel or your slave." Ahmad said: This is not carrion, meaning that the prohibition of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) only applies to carrion, and this [case] is neither included in the prohibition nor in its meaning. This is because the use of the fats of carrion in the manner asked of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) leads to the transfer of its impurity and the use of that which hides have been greased with, thus the person becomes a user of impurity. This is not the case here, for the impurity of this does not extend beyond eating it.
Ahmad said: It should not be fed to anything that is eaten immediately, nor should its milk be drunk, lest it become impure thereby; it becomes like the jallalah (an animal that feeds on filth).
5 - Issue; He said: (Except if the impurity is urine or liquid excrement, for then it becomes impure, unless it is like the cisterns found on the road to Mecca and similar bodies of large water that cannot be drained; that is what nothing renders impure).
