6 - Sharaf al-Din Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Ahmad ibn Ubayd Allah al-Maqdisi al-Salihi al-Hanbali al-Faradi. He passed away in the year 687 AH. He heard from him, and he was his maternal grandfather and his father's paternal uncle (1).

7 - Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Salamah ibn Ahmad al-Najjar al-Harrani al-Hanbali, the traditionist (muhaddith) and ascetic. He passed away in the year 646 AH. He accompanied Shaykh Muwaffaq al-Din and heard from him (2).

8 - Zayn al-Din Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Abd al-Da'im ibn Ni'mah al-Maqdisi al-Salihi al-Hanbali, the scribe, traditionist, preacher, and long-lived scholar (mu'ammar). He passed away in the year 668 AH. He studied jurisprudence under him (3) and narrated from him (4).

9 - Sayf al-Din Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Isa ibn Abd Allah, Ibn Qudamah al-Maqdisi al-Salihi al-Hanbali, the traditionist and hafiz. He passed away in the year 643 AH, and he heard much from his grandfather al-Muwaffaq (5).

10 - Taqi al-Din Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Ghani al-Maqdisi al-Salihi al-Hanbali, the Shaykh of the Hanbalis. He passed away in the year 643 AH. He kept close company with his maternal grandfather, Shaykh Muwaffaq al-Din, until he excelled and memorized his [composition] 'al-Kafi' (6).

11 - Taqi al-Din Ahmad ibn Mu'min. Al-Dhahabi said: He narrated from him... and among the last of them to die was al-Taqi Ahmad ibn Mu'min, [who] narrates hadiths from him through presence (hudur) (7).

12 - Safi al-Din Abu Muhammad Ishaq ibn Ibrahim ibn Yahya al-Shaqrawi al-Hanbali.
