Section: When one finishes his wudu', it is recommended that he raise his gaze toward the sky, then say what was narrated by Muslim in his Sahih (14), from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, from the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of God be upon him), that he said: "There is no one among you who performs wudu' and fulfills—or completes—the wudu', then says: I bear witness that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger, except that the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him; he may enter through whichever of them he wishes." Abu Bakr al-Khallal also narrated it with his isnad, and it contains: "Whoever performs wudu' and perfects the wudu', then raises his gaze toward the sky," and it contains: "O God, make me among those who are repentant, and make me among those who are purified" (15).
Section: There is no harm in being assisted in wudu', due to what al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba narrated, that he poured [water] for the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of God be upon him) during his wudu'. Narrated by Muslim (16). It was also narrated from Safwan ibn 'Assal who said: I poured [water] for the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of God be upon him) during travel and at home. And from Umm 'Ayyash, who was a slave woman of Ruqayya, the daughter of the Messenger of God (may the peace and blessings of God be upon him), who said: I used to perform wudu' for the Messenger of God (may the peace and blessings of God be upon him) [while I was standing] (17) and he was sitting. Both were narrated by Ibn Majah (18). It is narrated from Ahmad that he said: I do not like for anyone to assist me in my wudu' because 'Umar said that.
Section: There is no harm in drying one's members with a towel from the wetness of wudu' and ghusl. Al-Khallal said: What is reported from Ahmad is that there is no harm in drying after wudu'. Among those from whom it was narrated...
