they say:
We have killed the master of the Khazraj, Sa'd ibn Ubadah,
And we shot him with two arrows, and we did not miss his heart.
One should not urinate in his bathing place, for most obsessive whispers (waswas) stem from it. It was recorded by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah (48), who said (49): I heard Ali ibn Muhammad al-Tanafisi saying: "This refers only to a pit (in the earth); as for today, their bathing places are made of gypsum, saruj (lime mortar), and qir (bitumen) (50)." So if one urinates and then flushes water over it, there is no harm in it. It has been said that spitting on urine induces obsessive whispers, and that urinating on fire causes sickness; being cautious of all that is better. It is disliked to perform wudu or to clean oneself (istinja) over the spot where one has urinated, so that one does not become defiled by it.
Section: In the state of sitting, he should rely on his left leg, based on what Suraqah ibn Malik narrated, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, commanded us to lean on the left and to set up the right." Recorded by al-Tabarani (51) in "al-Mu'jam". This is also easier for the exit of whatever is being expelled. He should not prolong his stay longer than the duration of his need, because that is harmful, and it has been said that it causes hemorrhoids. It is also said that it congests the liver, and he might annoy those waiting for him.
It is recommended that he cover his head, because this is narrated from Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, and because this is a state of exposing the 'awrah, so he should feel shy during it. And he should wear his shoes so that they do not become defiled.
