The other view is that this is not established, because his being a grandfather is derivative of his daughter being a mother, and his being a maternal uncle is derivative of his sister being a mother; since that is not established, the derivative does not follow. This view is preferred in this issue because the derivativeness is realized, unlike in the one preceding it. If we say that her brother becomes a maternal uncle, maternal kinship is not established regarding any one of them; because he did not nurse (49) five sucklings from the milk of her sisters, but it admits the prohibition, because there has gathered five sucklings of prohibited milk. If there were completed for the child (50) five sucklings from his mother, his sister, his daughter, his wife, and his father's wife, one suckling from each (51), it would be derived according to the two views.

Section: If a woman has milk from a husband, and she breastfeeds (51) a child with it three times, and her milk ceases, then she marries another and milk manifests for her from him, and she breastfeeds the child from it twice, she becomes a mother to him without any disagreement known to us among those who say that five sucklings are prohibited. Neither of the two husbands becomes a father to him, because he did not complete the number of sucklings from his milk. However, he is prohibited to the two men because he is her step-son, not because he is their child (53).

1372 - Issue: He said: (If he divorces his wife three times while she is nursing from the milk of his child, then she marries a nursling and breastfeeds him, so he becomes prohibited to her, then she marries another, consummates the marriage, and has intercourse with her, then divorces her or dies leaving her, it is not permissible for the first to marry her; because she became one of the wives of the sons when she breastfed the child she married).

This issue is one of the sub-issues of the one preceding it, which is that the nursing child becomes a son to the man whose milk manifested through his intercourse. Thus, when this woman married a child and then breastfed him with the milk of her [former] divorcer, he became a son
