against her, according to what we have selected. If he had not consummated the marriage with the adult woman, he is liable for half of her dowry, and he has recourse against the wealth of the young girl, because she rescinded her marriage. If the young girl suckled from her twice while she was asleep, and then the adult woman awoke and she completed the five sucklings for her, the corruption has occurred through the actions of both of them. Thus, the obligation is distributed between them; he is liable for the dowry of the adult woman, and three-tenths of the dowry of the young girl, for which he has recourse against the adult woman. If he had not consummated the marriage with the adult woman, he is liable for one-fifth of her dowry, for which he has recourse against the young girl. As for whether the marriage of the young girl is rescinded, there are two narrations.
Section: If a group of people corrupt the marriage, the dowry is distributed among them. If five women come and give a young wife milk from the husband's mother five times, her marriage is rescinded, and half of her dowry becomes incumbent upon them to be shared among them. If one woman gives her two drinks and another gives her three, the first is liable for one-fifth, and the second is liable for one-fifth and one-tenth. If one woman gives her two drinks, and three women each give her three drinks, the first is liable for one-fifth, and each of the three is liable for one-tenth. If he has three adult wives and one young wife, and each of the three suckles the young girl four times, then they milk into a vessel and give it to the young girl to drink, the adult women become forbidden and their marriages are rescinded. If he had not consummated the marriage with them, the marriage of the young girl remains valid, according to one of the two narrations, and he is liable to each one of them for one-third of her dowry, for which he has recourse against her co-wives; because the corruption of her marriage occurred through her action and their actions. Thus, what corresponded to her action, which is one-sixth of the dowry, has lapsed, and one-third remained upon him, for which he has recourse against her co-wives. If their dowries are equal, it lapses, and nothing becomes incumbent, because what is due to her from the husband is offset by what he has recourse for against her, since there is no benefit in that what is due to her from him would be the same as what he has recourse for against her.
