If it even has a basis, they are contradictory and mutually exclusive, requiring them to be discarded and to act upon the clear, established texts and the consensus (ijma') which it is not permissible to oppose.
1428 - Issue: He said: (And a group is executed for one individual)
The gist of it is that if a group kills one person, retaliation is due from each one of them, provided that if each one of them had acted alone in his deed, retaliation would have been due upon him. This was narrated from Umar, Ali, Al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba, and Ibn Abbas. Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, Al-Hasan, Abu Salama, 'Ata', and Qatada held this opinion. This is the school of Malik, Al-Thawri, Al-Awza'i, Al-Shafi'i, Ishaq, Abu Thawr, and the People of Opinion (Ashab al-Ra'y). [It was narrated from] (2) Ahmad another version: that they are not to be executed for him, and the blood money (diya) becomes due from them. This is the statement of Ibn al-Zubayr, Al-Zuhri, Ibn Sirin, Habib ibn Abi Thabit, 'Abd al-Malik, Rabi'a, Dawud, and Ibn al-Mundhir. Ibn Abi Musa narrated it from Ibn Abbas. It was narrated from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, Ibn al-Zubayr, Ibn Sirin, and Al-Zuhri that one person is to be executed from them, and the shares of the blood money are to be taken from the rest; because each one of them is equivalent to him, thus substitutions (abdal) cannot be satisfied for one substituted person, just as multiple blood monies are not due for one murdered person. Its implication is that no more than one life is to be taken for a life. Also, because a disparity in attributes prohibits [retaliation], as evidenced by the fact that a free person is not taken for a slave, and disparity in number is even more deserving of this [ruling]. Ibn al-Mundhir said: There is no argument with those who obligate the execution of a group for one person. As for us, we rely on the consensus (ijma') of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them. Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab narrated that Umar ibn al-Khattab executed seven men from the people of Sana'a who killed a man,
