[they finish] (95) with that when I hear it. Narrated by al-Bukhari (96).
Section: If there are men and women with the Imam, it is recommended that he and the men remain for as long as he sees that they (the women) have departed, while they (the women) should stand up immediately following his taslim. Umm Salamah said: In the time of the Messenger of Allah -peace be upon him-, when the women would finish (97) the obligatory prayer, they would stand up, while the Messenger of Allah -peace be upon him- and those of the men who prayed with him would remain for as long as Allah willed. Then, when the Messenger of Allah -peace be upon him- stood up, the men would stand up. Al-Tirmidhi (98) said: We believe, and Allah knows best, [that this is] (99) so that those (the women) who are departing may distance themselves (100). Narrated by al-Bukhari (101). This is also because failing to do so by [either of the two groups] (102) leads to the intermixing of men and women. If there are no women with him, [he should not lengthen] (103)
