Translation · EN

the condition of prayer, as the turban is not a condition for it. [And if he prays in a usurped house, the disagreement regarding it is like the disagreement regarding the usurped garment] (90), except that Ahmad said regarding the Friday prayer: He may pray in places (91) of usurpation; because it is specific to a particular location, so the prohibition [of praying in it when it is usurped] (92) leads to its disruption. [Therefore, he permitted performing it therein, just as he permitted the Friday prayer behind the Khawarij, the people of innovation, and the immoral, so as not to lead to its disruption] (93). The second type is that which is forbidden specifically for men to the exclusion of women, which is silk, fabric woven (94) with gold, and that which is gilded with it; for it is forbidden to wear it, or to spread it out for use in prayer or otherwise; because of what Abu Musa narrated, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The wearing of silk and gold is forbidden for the males of my nation, and it is permitted for their females." Recorded by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi (95), who said: It is a hasan sahih (good and authentic) hadith. From Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Do not wear silk, for whoever wears it in this world shall not wear it in the Hereafter." Agreed upon (96). We know of no disagreement regarding the prohibition of wearing this for men, except
