the gusset of the pocket (104), the lining of furs, and other such things; because it is included in what the hadith encompasses.
Section: (105) If one wears silk due to lice, itching, or an illness for which wearing silk provides relief, it is permitted [in one of the two narrations] (106); because Anas narrated that Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf and al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam complained of lice to the Prophet (peace be upon him), so he granted them a concession to wear silk shirts during a military expedition (107) of theirs. In another narration: They complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about lice (108), so he granted them a concession to wear silk shirts, and I saw them on them. Muttafaq alayhi (109). What is established regarding one Companion is established regarding another, provided there is no evidence indicating its exclusivity to him (110), and matters other than lice that [benefit from wearing] (111) silk are in the same category, so they are subject to analogy. The other narration states that it is not permitted to wear it for illness; due to the possibility that the concession was specific to those two, and this is the opinion of Malik.
