Section: He should say upon waking what was narrated by 'Ubadah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), that he said: "Whoever wakes up at night and says: 'There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner; to Him belongs the dominion, to Him belongs the praise, and He is over all things capable. Praise be to Allah, and Glory be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest; and there is no power or strength except with Allah,' then he says: 'O Allah, forgive me,' or he makes a supplication, it is answered for him. If he performs ablution and prays, his prayer is accepted." Narrated by al-Bukhari (92). And from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would stand for the night to perform Tahajjud, he would say: "O Allah, to Thee is the praise; Thou art the Light of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them; and to Thee is the praise, Thou art the Sustainer (93) of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them; and to Thee is the praise, Thou art the King of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them; and to Thee is the praise, Thou art the Truth; and Thy promise is true, and Thy speech is true, and the meeting with Thee is true, and Paradise is true, and the Fire is true, and the Hour is true, and the Prophets are true, and Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) is true. O Allah, to Thee I have submitted, in Thee I have believed, upon Thee I have relied, to Thee I have turned in repentance, by Thee I have argued, and to Thee I have brought for judgment. So forgive me what I have sent forward and what I have delayed, and what I have kept secret and what I have made public. Thou art the Advancer and Thou art the Delayer. There is no god but Thee, and there is no power or strength except by Thee." Agreed upon (94). And in
