in the two rak'ahs of the sunset (Maghrib) prayer or after them, beginning his completion at the beginning of the night and at the beginning of the day.
Section: It is recommended to gather one's family and others upon completing the Quran, for the sake of the presence of the supplication. Ahmad said: Anas, when he completed the Quran, would gather his family and children. This was also narrated from Ibn Mas'ud and others. Ibn Shahin narrated it as marfu' (attributed) to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Abu Abd Allah considered it commendable to say 'Allahu Akbar' at the end of each surah from Surah al-Duha to the end of the Quran, because it was narrated from Ubayy ibn Ka'b that he recited it before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he commanded him to do so; the Qadi narrated it in 'al-Jami'' with his chain of transmission.
Section: Abu Abd Allah was asked about an Imam in the month of Ramadan who omits verses from a surah; do you consider it appropriate for those behind him to recite them? He said: Yes, it is appropriate for him to do so. In Makkah, they used to appoint a man to write down the letters and other things that the Imam omitted, and when it was the night of the completion, he would repeat them. This was only considered recommended so that the completion might be finished and the reward completed.
Section: There is no harm in reciting the Quran while on the road, or while a person is lying down. Ishaq ibn Ibrahim said: I went out with Abu Abd Allah to the mosque and I heard him reciting Surah al-Kahf. From Ibrahim al-Taymi, he said: I used to recite before Abu Musa while he was walking on the road, and when I recited the verse of prostration (sajdah), I said to him: Do you prostrate on the road? He said: Yes. And from Aisha, she
