She said: I certainly recite the Quran while I am lying on my bed. Narrated by al-Firyabi in 'Fada'il al-Quran' on the authority of Aisha.

Section: It is recommended to recite the Quran every seven days so that one may have a completion every week. Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: My father would complete the Quran during the day every seven days, reciting a seventh every day, and he would hardly ever abandon it while looking [at the script]. Hanbal said: Abu Abd Allah would complete it from Friday to Friday. This is because it was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Abdullah ibn Amr: "Recite the Quran in seven [days], and do not exceed that." Narrated by Abu Dawud. From Aws ibn Hudhayfah, he said: We said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): You have been slow in coming out to us tonight. He said: "A portion (hizb) of the Quran occurred to me, and I disliked going out until I had completed it." Aws said: I asked the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): How do you divide the Quran into portions? They said: Three, five, seven, nine, eleven, thirteen, and the portion of the Mufassal alone. Narrated by Abu Dawud. It is disliked to delay the completion of the Quran for more than forty days, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked by Abdullah ibn Amr: In how much time should one complete the Quran? He said: "In forty days." Then he said: "In a month." Then he said: "In twenty [days]." Then he said: "In fifteen [days]." Then he said: "In ten [days]." Then he said: "In seven [days]." He did not descend from seven. Extracted by Abu Dawud. Ahmad said: The most [time] I have heard for completing the Quran is
