Translation · EN

al-Bukhari (31). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said regarding meat that had been given as charity to Barirah (32): "It is charity for her, and for us it is a gift" (33). And he (peace be upon him) said: "I return to my family and find a date fallen on my bed [in my house] (34), and I pick it up to eat it, then I fear that it might be charity, so I throw it away." Narrated by Muslim (35). And he said: "Charity is not permissible for us" (36). This is because the Prophet (peace be upon him) was the noblest of all creation, and he was entitled to a fifth of the spoils of war.

430 - Issue: He said: (And neither to a wealthy person, and he is the one who possesses fifty dirhams or its equivalent in gold).

He means that a wealthy person is not given from the share of the poor and the needy. There is no disagreement on this among the scholars, because Allah the Almighty designated it for the poor and the needy, and the wealthy person is not included among them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Mu'adh: "Inform them that they have a charity that is taken from their wealthy and returned to their poor" (1). And he said: "There is no share in it for a wealthy person, nor for a physically capable earner" (2). And he said:
