'Urwah, Ayyub, al-Thawri, al-Shafi'i, and Ishaq. Malik said: "He places his hand upon his mouth without kissing it." It was also narrated from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad. Our position is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, touched it and kissed his hand. It was extracted by Muslim (9). The Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did this, and the scholars followed them in that, so the one who disagrees with them is not to be considered. If he has something in his hand with which he can touch the Stone, he touches it and kisses it, due to what was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, circumambulating the House, touching the Corner with a mahjan (a crooked staff) he had with him, and kissing the mahjan." It was narrated by Muslim (10). If he is unable to touch it, he points toward it and says Takbir (Allahu Akbar), due to what al-Bukhari (11) narrated with his chain of authority from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performed Tawaf on a camel; whenever he came to the Corner, he would point to it and say Takbir."
Section: He says Takbir whenever he comes to the Stone or aligns with it, due to what we have narrated, and he says between the two corners: {Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire} (12), due to what Imam Ahmad narrated in the Manasik from 'Abdullah ibn al-Sa'ib, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying between the Corner of Banu Jumah and the Black Corner: {Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire} (14). And from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
