not through driving the camels fast." Narrated by al-Bukhari (4). Urwah said: Usamah was asked, while I was sitting, how did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) travel during the Farewell Pilgrimage? He said: He would travel at an 'anaq (a moderate, swift pace), and when he found an open space, he would trot. Hisham ibn Urwah said: The 'nass' (trotting) is faster than the 'anaq.' This is agreed upon (6).

638 - Issue; He said: (And he is on the way, he should recite the Talbiyah (2), and remember Allah Almighty).

Remembering Allah Almighty is recommended (3) at all times, and it is even more emphasized at this time, due to the saying of Allah Almighty: {But when you depart from Arafat, remember Allah at the Mash'ar al-Haram, and remember Him as He has guided you} (4). It is also because this is the time of marking one's consciousness with the obedience of Allah Almighty, being occupied with His worship, and hastening toward His sacred rituals. It is recommended to recite the Talbiyah. Some have stated that one does not recite the Talbiyah. Our evidence is what al-Fadl ibn Abbas narrated: That the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not cease reciting the Talbiyah until he threw the pebbles at the Jamrah (5). This is agreed upon (6). And from Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, who said: I witnessed Ibn Masud
