For Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid said: I said to 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Awfa: Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) enter the House during his 'Umrah? He said: No. Both (reports) are agreed upon. (17) From 'A'ishah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out from her presence while he was joyful, then he returned while he was sorrowful. He said: "I have entered the Ka'bah, and if I had known in advance what I know now, I would not have entered it, for I fear that I may have caused hardship to my Ummah." Recorded by Abu Dawud. (18)
Section: It is recommended that one comes to Zamzam, drinks from its water (19) for whatever one desires, and fills oneself (20) with it. Jabir said, in describing the Hajj of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): Then he came to the sons of 'Abd al-Muttalib, who were providing water, and they handed him a bucket, so he drank from it. (21) It has been narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The water of Zamzam is for that for which it is drunk." (22) And from Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr, he said: I was sitting with Ibn 'Abbas when a man came to him and said: From where did you come? He said: From Zamzam. He said: Did you drink from it as it should be drunk? He said: How? He said: If you drink from it, face the Ka'bah, mention the name of Allah, take three breaths while drinking from Zamzam, and fill yourself with it. When you finish, praise Allah the Exalted, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The sign of what is between us and the hypocrites is that they do not fill themselves with Zamzam."
