the denominator of the half by one, multiply it by the denominator of the third, then by ten, which becomes ninety, divided by [fifteen], which becomes eighteen. Then add one to the denominator of the third, multiply it by the denominator of the half, then by ten, which becomes eighty, divided by five. If there is another person with them, and he bequeathed to the maternal uncle ten and a quarter of his bequest, and he bequeathed to him ten and a quarter of the paternal uncle's bequest, you multiply the denominators and subtract one from them, which becomes twenty-three; this is the divisor. Then add one to the two and multiply it by three, which becomes nine; increase it by one and multiply it by four, which becomes forty, then [multiply] by ten, then divide it, and there results seventeen and nine parts; this is the paternal uncle's bequest. Then you do with the remaining two as we mentioned; the maternal uncle's bequest will be fourteen and eighteen parts, and the third person's bequest fourteen and eight parts. If you wish, after you have worked out the paternal uncle's bequest, multiply the excess from his bequest by two, and it is the maternal uncle's bequest; and multiply the excess over ten from the maternal uncle's bequest by three, and it is the paternal uncle's bequest. Whenever you know what is with one of them, it is possible for you to know what is with the others. And Allah knows best. This amount from this field is sufficient, for the need for it is little, and its branches are numerous and long, and others are more important than it. May Allah the Exalted grant us success in what pleases Him, [for He is powerful over what He wills].
