115 - And Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to me, saying: Aḥmad ibn ʿAmr ibn al-Sarḥ narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Qāsim narrated to us, saying: Saʿīd ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Maʿāfirī narrated to me, from ʿAbd al-Aʿlā ibn al-Ḥajjāj, from his brother Qays ibn al-Ḥajjāj, regarding the statement of Allah: {So be patient with gracious patience} [al-Maʿārij: 5], he said: “That the afflicted person among the people cannot be recognized as to who he is.”
