133 - Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn narrated to me, Dāwūd ibn al-Muḥabbar narrated to me, saying: I heard my father, al-Muḥabbar ibn Qaḥdham, say: When al-Shajjāʿ was mutilated, she remained patient and began comforting herself with the Qurʾān, saying: {And be patient, and your patience is not but through Allah} [al-Naḥl: 127], {And if you are patient, it is indeed best for the patient} [al-Naḥl: 126]. Then she said: "If I am upon clear insight regarding my matter, then this is indeed little compared to the greatness of the reward I seek from Allah." He said: So she did not speak any other words until she died.
