167 - ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn narrated to me, from Yaḥyā ibn Isḥāq al-Bajalī: Abū al-Mughīra the Storyteller narrated to us, saying: I heard ʿUmar ibn Dharr saying to a man who was harmed by his neighbor: “Be patient, O my brother! For by Allah, I do not see that the reward of patience has an equal on the Day of Resurrection. O my brother, adhere to patience, through which you will attain the treasure of its people. And know that patience consists of divine gifts, and none is granted it except one who is noble in the sight of his Master. So seize it as much as you are able, for you will surely find its outcome sooner or later, Allah willing.”
