2 - Aḥmad ibn Jamīl al-Marwazī narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak informed us, saying: ʿUtba ibn Abī Ḥakīm informed us, saying: ʿAmr ibn Jāriya al-Lakhmī narrated to me, saying: Abū Umayya al-Shaʿbānī narrated to me, from Abū Thaʿlaba al-Khushanī, the Companion of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of God be upon him, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of God be upon him, who said: ⦗19⦘ “Indeed, ahead of you are days of patience, during which patience is like holding onto hot embers; the one who acts righteously during them will have a reward equal to that of fifty men who perform the same action as him.” And someone else added to me: ⦗20⦘ They said: O Messenger of Allah, the reward of fifty of them? He said: “The reward of fifty of you.”
