61 - Narrated to me Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn: Narrated to us ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Mūsā, who said: I heard al-Ḥasan ibn Ṣāliḥ say: "People from this city have entered the soil who cut themselves off from worldly life through patience in obedience to God, and this Qurʾān clarified to them what lies beyond worldly life." He recited: {Have you considered: if We let them enjoy for years, then there comes to them that which they were promised, of no avail to them will be that which they were enjoying?} Then al-Ḥasan wept, and then he said: "When death and its agonies arrive, none of the comfort and pleasure a young man enjoyed will be of any avail to him." Then he collapsed unconscious.
