94 - And Abu Bakr al-Marwudhi informed us, saying: Abu Hisham narrated to us, saying: I heard Yahya ibn Adam during the days of Abu al-Saraya saying: "There are people here who profess the views of al-Hasan ibn Salih ibn Hayy, and they have perished." And I heard al-Hasan ibn Salih saying: "I shall not rebel while an Imam is established, and I shall not rebel unless I am in a faction, and I shall not rebel unless I am with an army that is equivalent to my enemy; I will not cast myself into destruction. And I shall not rebel except with an Imam in whom reside all the ordinances of the Sunnah. If the Sunnah consisted of one hundred ordinances, and he possessed ninety-nine of them, I would not rebel with him."
٩٤ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ آدَمَ أَيَّامَ أَبِي السَّرَايَا يَقُولُ: «هَاهُنَا قَوْمٌ يَنْتَحِلُونَ قَوْلَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَيٍّ قَدْ هَلَكُوا» ، وَسَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ صَالِحٍ يَقُولُ: لَا أَخْرَجُ وَإِمَامٌ قَائِمٌ، وَلَا أَخْرَجُ إِلَّا فِي فِرْقَةٍ، وَلَا أَخْرَجُ إِلَّا فِي جُنْدٍ يُوَازِي عَدُوِّي، لَا أُلْقِيَ بِيَدِي إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ، وَلَا أَخْرَجُ إِلَّا مَعَ إِمَامٍ فِيهِ شَرَائِعُ ⦗١٣٧⦘ السُّنَنِ كُلِّهَا، إِنْ كَانَتِ السُّنَنُ مِائَةَ شَرِيعَةٍ، وَكَانَ فِيهِ مِنْهَا تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُونَ شَرِيعَةً لَمْ أَخْرُجْ مَعَهُ
