95 - And Abu Bakr al-Marwudhi informed us that he said to Abu Abdullah: "Wahb ibn Baqiyyah narrated that when it was the time of the Mubayyidah (the White-Clad ones), Khalid disapproved of those who rebelled, and he said: 'I saw a man carrying two spears, so I brought him into the miller's shop and spoke with him.'" Abu Abdullah said: "Was it 'Abbad?" I said: "Yes."
٩٥ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: إنَّ وَهْبَ بْنَ بَقِيَّةَ حَكَى أَنَّ خَالِدًا لَمَّا كَانَ زَمَانُ الْمُبَيِّضَةِ أَنْكَرَ خَالِدٌ عَلَى مَنْ خَرَجَ، وَقَالَ: رَأَيْتُ إِنْسَانًا مَعَهُ رُمْحَيْنِ فَأَدْخَلْتُهُ دُكَّانَ الطَّحَّانِ فَكَلَّمْتُهُ، فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: «عَبَّادٌ كَانَ؟» قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ
