8 - Al-Duri informed me, saying: 'Abd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, saying: Abu Kibran narrated to us, saying: I heard al-Sha'bi say: "Love the family of your Prophet and do not be a Rafidi (rejectionist). Act according to the Qur'an and do not be a Haruri (Kharijite). Know that whatever good comes to you is from Allah, and whatever bad comes to you is from yourself, and do not be a Qadari (denier of predestination). And obey the Imam, even if he is an Abyssinian slave."
٨ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي الدُّورِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ ثنا أَبُو كِبْرَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ، يَقُولُ: «حِبَّ أَهْلَ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ، وَلَا تَكُنْ رَافِضِيًّا، وَاعْمَلْ بِالْقُرْآنِ، وَلَا تَكُنْ حَرُورِيًّا، وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ مَا أَتَاكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ، وَمَا أَتَاكَ مِنْ سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِنْ نَفْسِكَ، وَلَا تَكُنْ قَدَرِيًّا، وَأَطِعِ الْإِمَامَ، وَإِنْ كَانَ عَبْدًا حَبَشِيًّا»
