175 - Abd Allah ibn Muhammad informed me, saying: Bakr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Abd Allah regarding this matter, who said: "I consider it permissible to fight highwaymen if they intend to take your property or harm your person. However, as for going to them or following them if they turn away, it is not permissible for you to fight them."
١٧٥ - أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي هَذِهِ الْمَسْأَلَةِ، قَالَ: «أَرَى قِتَالَ اللُّصُوصِ إِذَا أَرَادُوا مَالَكَ وَنَفْسَكَ، فَأَمَّا أَنْ تَذْهَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَوْ تَتْبَعَهُمْ إِذَا وَلَّوْا فَلَا يَجُوزُ لَكَ قِتَالُهُمْ»
