22 - He said: And Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Abu Raja', who said: I heard Ibn 'Abbas saying: "Whoever separates from the community (al-jama'ah) by a span and dies, he dies a death of jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance)."
٢٢ - قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ: «مَنْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ شِبْرًا فَمَاتَ، فَمِيتَةُ جَاهِلِيَّةٍ»
