227 - Muhammad ibn Ali informed us, saying: Salih ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to us that he asked his father about these poems that are in the Book of Maghazi (Military Expeditions), the book of Muhammad ibn Ishaq, in which there are poems containing disparagement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which the disbelievers said about him, one or two lines in a poem, or less or more. He said: 'They should be erased as thoroughly as possible.'
