233 - Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' informed us, from Shu'bah, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Aishah, who said: "I used to hear that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would not die until he was given the choice between the world and the Hereafter." She said: "Then he became hoarse during his illness in which he died, and I heard him saying: '{With those upon whom Allah has bestowed favor, among the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs, and the righteous; and excellent are those as companions}' [An-Nisa: 69]." She said: "Then I realized that he was being given the choice."
