235 - 'Abd al-Malik al-Maymuni informed us that Sa'id ibn Sulayman narrated to them, saying: Mansur ibn Abi al-Aswad narrated to us, from Layth, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "I am the first of them, I am their leader when they arrive, I am their spokesman when they fall silent, I am their intercessor when they are detained, and I am the bearer of glad tidings for them when they despair. Honor and the keys shall be in my hands on that day, and the Banner of Praise (Liwa' al-Hamd) shall be in my hand on that day. I am the most honored of the children of Adam in the sight of my Lord; a thousand servants will circle around me as if they were protected eggs or scattered pearls."
