238 - Abu Bakr ibn Sadaqah informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abi Safwan al-Thaqafi narrated to us, saying: Yahya ibn Kathir al-Anbari narrated to us, saying: Salm ibn Ja'far al-Bakrawi, from the descendants of Abu Bakrah, narrated to us, saying: Sa'id al-Jurayri narrated to us, saying: Sayf al-Sadusi narrated to us, saying: I heard Abd Allah ibn Salam say: "When the Day of Resurrection comes, your Prophet (peace be upon him) will be brought until He (Allah) seats him before Him." He said: I said: "O Abu Mas'ud, so if He seats him before Him, he is with Him?" He said: "Woe unto you! I have never heard a hadith more soothing to my eyes than this hadith, when I learned that He will seat him with Him."

239 - Abu Bakr al-Khallal said: Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal mentioned, saying: I heard the hadith of Ibn Fudayl, from Layth, from Mujahid: {It may be that your Lord will raise you to a Station of Praise (Maqam Mahmud)} [Al-Isra: 79], from Abu Ma'mar, from his brother, from Ibn Fudayl. He said: I discussed it with my father, and he said: "It did not reach me through a high (chain of) transmission," and he acted as if he were sighing with regret, meaning because it did not reach him with a high chain.

240 - Abu Bakr al-Khallal said: This speech and much long speech was dictated to us; I have abridged this from it. Yahya ibn Abi Talib dictated it to us in his assembly before the people, from Harun al-Hashimi, from Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal. I also heard Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Sadaqah, Abu Bakr, our trustworthy and reliable sheikh, say: This hadith was mentioned in the presence of Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal, and he said: "A hadith like this from Ibn Fudayl has escaped me," and he began to sigh with regret. Abu Bakr ibn Sadaqah had heard many questions from Ahmad ibn Hanbal which we heard from him, and he was a man of great standing in his time.
