246 - Yahya ibn Abi Talib informed us, saying: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Layth, from Mujahid regarding the verse: {It may be that your Lord will raise you to a Praised Station} [Al-Isra: 79], he said: "He will seat him with Him upon the Throne." Abu Bakr ibn Abi Talib said: Whoever rejects this has rejected [what has come from] Allah Azza wa Jall, and whoever denies the virtue of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, has disbelieved in Allah the Almighty.
247 - Ahmad ibn Asram al-Muzani informed me of this hadith, and he said: "Whoever rejects this is accused [of heresy] regarding Allah and His Messenger, and in our view, he is a disbeliever. And [whoever] claims that whoever says this is a Dualist (Thanawi), has claimed that the scholars and the Tabi'un were Dualists; and whoever says this [that they are Dualists] is a Zindiq (heretic) who is to be executed."
٢٤٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: {عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا} [الإسراء: ٧٩] قَالَ: «يُقْعِدُهُ مَعَهُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ» ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ: مَنْ رَدَّهُ فَقَدْ رَدَّ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَمَنْ كَذَّبَ بِفَضِيلَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ.
٢٤٧ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ الْمُزَنِيُّ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، وَقَالَ: «مَنْ رَدَّ هَذَا فَهُوَ مُتَّهَمٌ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، وَهُوَ عِنْدَنَا كَافِرٌ، وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ مَنَ قَالَ ⦗٢١٦⦘ بِهَذَا فَهُوَ ثَنَوِيُّ، فَقَدْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ الْعُلَمَاءَ وَالتَّابِعِينَ ثَنَوِيَّةٌ، وَمَنْ قَالَ بِهَذَا فَهُوَ زِنْدِيقٌ يُقْتَلُ»
