24 - Yahya ibn Ja'far informed us, saying: 'Abd al-Wahhab informed us, from Thawr ibn Yazid, from Makhul, from Kurayb, the mawla of Ibn 'Abbas, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to al-'Abbas: "When it is the morning of Monday, come to me, you and your children." He said: So he went early and we went early with him, and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) clothed us in a cloak of his, then said: "O Allah, forgive al-'Abbas and his children, a manifest and inward forgiveness that leaves no sin behind. O Allah, be his successor in his children."
٢٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ ⦗٩٠⦘: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْعَبَّاسِ: «إِذَا كَانَ غَدَاةُ الْإِثْنَيْنِ فَأْتِنِي أَنْتَ وَوَلَدُكَ» ، قَالَ: فَغَدَا وَغَدَوْنَا مَعَهُ، فَأَلْبَسَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كِسَاءً لَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْعَبَّاسِ وَوَلَدِهِ مَغْفِرَةً ظَاهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةً، لَا تُغَادِرُ ذَنْبًا، اللَّهُمَّ اخْلُفْهُ فِي وَلَدِهِ»
