252 - Abu Yahya al-Naqid informed us, saying: I heard Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Mus'ab, the ascetic, mention the hadith of Ibn Fudayl, from Layth, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: {It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised station} [Al-Isra: 79]. He said: He will seat him upon the Throne. Ibn Mus'ab said: "He will seat him upon the Throne so that the creation may see His honor for him, then the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, will descend to his wives and his gardens."
٢٥٢ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى النَّاقِدُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ مُصْعَبٍ الْعَابِدَ وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: {عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا} [الإسراء: ٧٩] قَالَ: يُجْلِسُهُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ، قَالَ ابْنُ مُصْعَبٍ: «يُجْلِسُهُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ لِيَرَى الْخَلَائِقُ كَرَامَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يَنْزِلُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أَزْوَاجِهِ وَجَنَّاتِهِ»
