256 - And I heard Abu Bakr ibn Sadaqah say: Abu al-Qasim ibn al-Jabali narrated to me, from 'Abd Allah ibn Isma'il, the companion of al-Narsi, who said: Then I met 'Abd Allah ibn Isma'il and he narrated to me, saying: 'I saw the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in a dream, and he said to me: This al-Tirmidhi, I am sitting for him, he denies my virtue.'
٢٥٦ - وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ صَدَقَةَ، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ بْنُ الْجَبَلِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ صَاحِبِ النَّرْسِيِّ قَالَ: ثُمَّ لَقِيتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ فَحَدَّثَنِي، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي النَّوْمِ، فَقَالَ لِي: هَذَا التِّرْمِذِيُّ، أَنَا جَالِسٌ لَهُ، يُنْكِرُ فَضِيلَتِي "
