258 - Muhammad ibn Ja'far informed me that Abu al-Harith narrated to them that Abu 'Abd Allah [Ahmad ibn Hanbal] was asked about Layth ibn Abi Sulaym, and he said: "How excellent his opinion was."
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ سُئِلَ عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَ: «مَا كَانَ أَحْسَنَ رَأْيِهِ»
