263 - Muhammad ibn 'Ali informed me, saying: Muhanna narrated to me, saying: I asked Ahmad about Mujahid, and he said: "He is a Meccan who met a number of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
٢٦٣ - أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُهَنَّى، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَحْمَدَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: «هُوَ مَكِّيٌّ، لَقِيَ عِدَّةً مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
