27 - Yahya narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, saying: 'Amr ibn Abi al-Muqaddam informed us, from Yahya ibn Masqalah, from his father, from Musa ibn 'Umar, who said: A drought afflicted the people, so 'Umar ibn al-Khattab went out to perform the prayer for rain (istisqa') and took al-'Abbas with him. He faced the qibla and said: "This is the uncle of Your Prophet; we have come to approach You through him, so grant us rain through him." And they did not return until they were given rain.
٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَ عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الْمُقَدَّمِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَسْقَلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: أَصَابَ النَّاسَ قَحْطٌ فَخَرَجَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَسْتَسْقِي وَأَخَذَ الْعَبَّاسَ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ، فَقَالَ: «هَذَا عَمُّ نَبِيِّكَ، جِئْنَا نَتَوَصَّلَ بِهِ إِلَيْكَ، فَاسْقِنَا بِهِ» فَمَا رَجَعُوا حَتَّى سُقُوا
