30 - 'Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz informed me, saying: Ahmad narrated to us, saying: Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, saying: Safwan ibn 'Amr ibn Qays narrated to us, saying: 'Asim ibn Humayd narrated to me, on the authority of Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who said: "You will not see from the leaders anything but harshness, and you will not see a matter that terrifies you and weighs heavily upon you except that there will follow it what is even more evil than it, the most numerous of leaders and the worst of leadership." Abu 'Abd Allah said: "O Allah, we are satisfied," extending his voice with it twice or three times.
٣٠ - أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ ⦗٩٤⦘ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ: «لَنْ تَرَوْا مِنَ الْأَئِمَّةِ إِلَّا غِلْظَةً، وَلَنْ تَرَوْا أَمْرًا يَهُولُكُمْ وَيَشْتَدُّ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا حَضَرَهُ بَعْدَهُ مَا هُوَ أَشَرُّ مِنْهُ، أَكْثَرُ أَمِيرٍ وَشَرُّ تَأْمِيرٍ» . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: اللَّهُمَّ رَضِينَا، يَمُدُّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةً
