335 - Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' narrated to us, from Salim Abu al-'Ala' al-Muradi, from 'Amr ibn Harim, from Rib'i ibn Hirash and Abu 'Abd Allah—a man from the companions of Hudhayfah—from Hudhayfah, who said: We were sitting with the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and he said: "I do not know how long I will remain among you, so follow those who come after me," and he pointed to Abu Bakr and 'Umar, "and be guided by the guidance of 'Ammar, and hold fast to the covenant of Ibn Umm 'Abd."
