347 - Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' related to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Silah ibn Zufar, from Hudhayfah, who said: The Sayyid and the 'Aqib came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and said: "Send with us your trustee." He replied: "Yes, I will send with you a trustee, a true trustee." The people aspired to it, but he sent Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah.
٣٤٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: ثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: جَاءَ السَّيِّدُ وَالْعَاقِبُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ⦗٢٨١⦘ فَقَالَا: ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا أَمِينَكَ، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ، سَأَبْعَثُ مَعَكُمْ أَمِينًا حَقَّ أَمِينٍ» ، وَتَشَرَّفَ لَهَا النَّاسُ، فَبَعَثَ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ
