356 - 'Ali reported to us, saying: Abu Mas'ud al-Zujaj informed us, from Abu Sa'd, from Abu Ya'la, who said: I asked Ibn al-Hanafiyyah: 'Who is the best of the people?' He replied: 'You have asked me about that which I asked my father about, and he said: "Abu Bakr and 'Umar." Then he said: "Your father is [merely] a man among the Muslims."'
٣٥٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيٌّ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الزُّجَاجُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْلَى، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ: مَنْ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ؟ فَقَالَ: لَقَدْ سَأَلْتَنِي عَمَّا سَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ أَبِي، فَقَالَ: " أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَبُوكَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ "
