38 - Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' narrated to us, from Mis'ar and Sufyan, from Ziyad ibn 'Ilaqah al-Tha'labi, from Jarir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: "I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to hear and obey, and to offer sincere advice (nush) to every Muslim."
٣٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: ثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، وَسُفْيَانَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ الثَّعْلَبِيِّ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ ⦗٩٩⦘: «بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ، وَالنُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ»
