Translation · EN

46 - Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' reported, from Ibn Abi Khalid, from Qays ibn Abi Hazim, that when the women came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to pledge allegiance to him, some of them turned back out of fear of the condition [or strict terms of the pledge], while others pledged allegiance. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, then spread his garment and placed it over his palm, and he accepted their pledge of allegiance from behind the garment, and said: "Paradise is [expected] from you." And Waki' gestured with his fingertips.
