Translation · EN

  1. Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' reported to us, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, from Habib ibn Abi Marzuq, from Maymun ibn Mihran, from a man from 'Abd al-Qays, who said: "I saw Salman in a military expedition where he was the commander, riding on a donkey, and the soldiers were saying, 'The commander has come, the commander has come.' Salman said: 'Truly, goodness and evil are in what comes after today. If you can manage to eat dust rather than hold authority over even two men, then do so. And fear the supplication of the oppressed person who is in distress, for it is not veiled [from Allah].'"
