472 - Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' reported to us, from Mu'adh ibn al-'Ala' Abu Ghassan, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: 'Ali gave a sermon to us in Kufa, while wearing two sandals, trousers, and a turban, and in his hand was a small glass vial. He said: "I have not acquired anything from it [Kufa] since I entered it except for this glass vial, which a dihqan (landowner) gifted to me."
٤٧٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَ وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ أَبِي غَسَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: خَطَبَنَا عَلِيٌّ بِالْكُوفَةِ وَعَلَيْهِ نَعْلَانِ وَسَرَاوِيلُ وَعِمَامَةٌ، وَفِي يَدِهِ قَارُورَةُ، فَقَالَ: «مَا أَصَبْتُ بِهَا مُنْذُ دَخَلْتُهَا غَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْقَارُورَةِ، أَهْدَاهَا لِي دُهَيْقَانُ»
