491 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Matar and Abu Yahya informed us that Abu Talib narrated to them regarding this issue, saying: Abu Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Isma'il narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah, who said: Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib said: "Had I borne witness for any living person, I would have borne witness for Abdullah ibn Umar." This indicates to you that he [Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib] would bear witness by that [the statement] that he is in Paradise, but he does not bear witness for the living, because he does not know what might occur [for them].
