506 - And Muhammad ibn Abi Harun informed me that Muthanna al-Anbari narrated to them that he said to Abu 'Abd Allah [Ahmad ibn Hanbal]: 'There is a man who is a narrator of hadith, from whom hadith is written down, who says: "Whoever testifies that the Ten are in Paradise is an innovator." Abu 'Abd Allah regarded this as a grave matter and said: "Perhaps he is ignorant and does not know; he should be instructed."
٥٠٦ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي هَارُونَ، أَنَّ مُثَنَّى الْأَنْبَارِيَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: رَجُلٍ مُحَدِّثٍ، يُكْتَبُ عَنْهُ الْحَدِيثُ، قَالَ: مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنَّ الْعَشَرَةَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَهُوَ مُبْتَدِعٌ، فَاسْتَعْظَمَ ذَلِكَ، وَقَالَ: «لَعَلَّهُ جَاهِلٌ، لَا يَدْرِي، يُقَالَ لَهُ»
