512 - Yazid ibn al-Haytham ibn Tahman informed me, saying: Yahya ibn Ma'in said: Yahya ibn Sa'id said: "The view of Sufyan al-Thawri was: Abu Bakr and Umar, then he would withhold [his judgment]." Yahya ibn Ma'in said: "And this is the view of Yahya ibn Sa'id."
٥١٢ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ طَهْمَانَ، قَالَ: قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ: قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ: " كَانَ رَأْيُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ: أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ، ثُمَّ يَقِفُ، قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ: وَهُوَ رَأْي يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ "
